Experience San José

Costa Rica is bordered by the Caribbean Sea to the east and the Pacific Ocean to west; in between, you'll find everything from lush cloud forests to sunny beaches, rural villages to thriving urban centers. The capital city of San José is home to about 1.6 million people and is situated in the Central Valley, guarded by majestic volcanoes and tropical rainforests. This democratic nation takes great pride in the fact that it has more teachers than policemen, and has not had a standing army in more than 50 years. br/>
Renowned for its natural beauty, enlightened conservation, and friendly people, Costa Rica draws visitors from all over the world. CEA students can look forward to experiencing the Costa Rican attractions and lifestyle through trips to Arenal Volcano, natural hot springs, and waterfalls. They'll explore tropical forests and experience first-hand the unique Afro-Costa Rican culture of Puerto Viejo.
